Where will you be 5 years from now?

People, Personal Development No Comments »

How different are you now, compared to 5 years ago?

Alright… I know…I know… this was an old poster, year 1994 to 1998, 5 years ago.

I am asking myself this question too. Where was I, 5 years back, and today?

. . . and Now, I am asking you : “What are you today, compared to 5 years ago?”

Were you the same old person, doing the same old things? If you are, then you will be the same today, compared to 5 years ago.

Answer : Not much changes, one thing for sure, you have spend your 5 youthful years, and you can never get back.

What you are today, is the result of your decision of the past. What you do today, will create what you are tomorrow.

How many more 5 years have you got to make changes in your life?

Make your decision to change, and take action now!

Eyes bigger than Stomach

dim sum breakfast

We had breakfast at dim sum restaurant early one sunday morning.

Dim Sum is a famous chinese dish eaten as to pass time, served in small plates.

We took a few small plates here and there as the lady with the tray full of Dim Sum came to our table.

It looks so nice, those little small bites, served hot, with the steam coming out, another lady with different tray, we took a few more plates.

After half way enjoying our meal, we felt full, but there were three quarter left of Dim Sum on our table.

Our belly is like going to burst.  How are we going to finish it? Hey, we still have a pot of chinese hot tea.

So, how are we doing so far? Knowing that we had enough and knowing we are the only one stayed the longest , seeing all other tables are occupied by new customers, we consistently trying to finish our food.

Another lady with trays of more food walking to our table, asking us “Would you like to try our new dish?” she is ever ready to put it on our table.

We quickly say “Oh… No !  ” Thank you, we had enough.

Taking our own sweet time, take a short break, stop chewing for a while. Drink our chinese tea and continue our last bites.

Yes, we finally finish our food, not going to waste.

Lesson to learn: never take more of those delicious dishes, until we have finish what we have on our table.

Our eyes are bigger than our stomach!  We ask more than we can handle.

aladdin magic lamp

This is a story of three very good friends, good buddies stranded on an island.

They were stranded on an island far away, after a ship wreck. As they were walking around the island in search for food, one of them accidentally kicked a lamp from the bushes. He picked it up and started to clean it, rubbing the lamp.

And as he rubs the lamp, a smoke come out of the lamp and a genie appeared. The three friends was shocked. It is not just a  lamp, it was a magic lamp.

The genie looked down onto the three little people and express his gratitude for his freedom from being stucked,  in the lamp all his life. The lamp is like a prison to him.

” I will grant each of you a wish, your wishes will come true! ” said the genie, as his gift to them, as a token of appreciation.

One of them said, this can’t be true! replied to the genie, in disbelieve.

“Yes my master, your wish is my command! “replied the Genie.

One of them came closer to the genie with no delay and said : I wish to leave this island and be with my family, my wife and my two children at home.

Yes my Master, your wish is my command!

” PUFF  ”  – the first man disappeared and he is now with his beloved family in their home sweet home. He is the happiest man on earth.

When they saw the wishes came true, the second friend pushes the other and goes to the Genie and quickly make his wish ” I wish to be in a casino on a cruise, drinking my favourite cocktail, winning every game and make a lot of money!

Yes my Master, your wish is my command!

” PUFF ” – the second man is now on board of a luxury star cruise, drinking his margarita, and making a lot of money!  He became very rich in an instant!

Then the genie look at the third person and ask “Master, you seems to look unhappy. Why are you sad? What can I grant you?

Then the last person, said, ” I miss my two friends very much and I wish they were back with me now”

” PUFF ”  ….  ” PUFF ”

.  .  .   guess what?
