Sponsoring

FAQ, MLM Overview, People No Comments »

This 3S is a guide or the things should be done in building your MLM Business – Sell, Sponsor, Service.

Let's talk about sponsoring.

Sign up your friends to be a member, is building your organization.

Who do you sponsor? Who are you bringing into your organization?

You can bring almost everyone into the business as long as it follows the terms and condition of the Direct Selling Act and the government laws, for example, he/she must be above 18 years of age. This is common.

One should not only look for leaders in your organization. Leaders are movers who has the drive and they are self-motivated to build the business and earn lots of money. All of us need leaders. In fact, everyone of us want leaders in our group. With them around, we are able to achieve more and earn more. Without them, both the MLM companies and distributors won't be able to grow & move forward. There will be a huge difference between a MLM company whom having leaders and those without. Leaders are important people.

Should we only pick Leaders to join us ?

Sales increases, income increases. Income grows from the sales of products and/or services. If you have lots of leaders, no sales, means no income.

If you come across prospects, who only consume / use the products, let them sign the membership application form. They are the one who will bring in sales for your organization.

There are people who joined for redemption of points each time they purchase products, sign them up. They want points. Then, there are those who likes to meet new friends in a meeting, buy products once in a while, sign them up too.

Some people have the ability to introduce friends to you, but doesn't buy any products. They are important too, ask them to sign the form and become your member.

Generally, there are two kinds of people, the consumers and the leaders.

In short, bring in anyone and everyone. Don't choose only certain kind of people to join you. If you are choosy, you will find that there is not much choices left for you.

Independent Distributor

Marketing Plan, People No Comments »

When you signed up with a MLM company, you are normally called as, a Member.

"Are you a Member of so and so MLM company?" Yes, I am with so and so MLM company. I buy the products at membership price and I am able to sell at a profit, I can accumulate points for the redemption of other items and received bonuses every month, and so on.

There are many other name, like an Independent Distributor. Some named it as Marketing Executive.

An Independent Distributor must pay a membership fee to become a member of a MLM company. They are required to pay yearly fee in order to activate their membership. This is call membership fee renewal. Some companies requires you to do so.

There are companies that doesn't take any membership fee at all. A customer who buy a single product will be a member automatically and be able to start recruiting others.

An Independent Distributor can represent a MLM company. He/She can also represent other MLM company. Many people do.

Some of them represent so many MLM companies and changes MLM companies very fast. Last month, I saw you with ABC company, today, you come to see me with XYZ company.

People doing 1 MLM company and do another, perhaps because of their products differences.

If one doesn't do well in a MLM company, one may change to another. There are reasons, perhaps they don't give time for their business to grow, or they give up too soon in their first MLM company.

Sitting Position

Life, People No Comments »

…continued

From yesterday's topic on Tee-Up ABC, sitting position in a presentation is also important.

Please make sure your C, (Customer) is sitting facing a wall or facing something that doesn't distract him/her while your upline is doing the business presentation. If your C is sitting in a coffee shop facing the door where all the walk-in customers come in, then you and your upline will be having a hard time getting your C to concentrate on the presentation. Your C will keep on looking at the customers passing by and not looking at the business presentation.

In order to do this, you (B) and your upline (A) will have to come early to the place, so both of you could sit facing the crowd and not your potential (C). Punctuality and preparation is important.

Sitting upright and paying attention to the presentation of your upline to show that you are serious about the business.
Listen attentively and nod once in a while after interesting points made by upline are important to show a good example so that your (C) will do the same.

Tee-Up ABC

Tee-Up

How are you going to hit a ball into a hole in a game of golf? Hole in one.

Can u give a first hit of high ball if a golf ball is placed on a grass?

You have to put a “tee-up”, that plastic thing poke into ground, giving a raise to the golf ball enable you to hit a high ball and give it a distance.

So what is ABC? Some named it as ABP.

This ABC method not only applies to MLM, it applies to other business transaction and in relationships or where it deems fit. One of the first few companies, which is a Single Level Marketing (SLM) implementing this method is Tupperware.

When you are doing your MLM business for the first time, you need help from your upline. Your upline will show you how to do a presentation to your prospect.

This is where the ABC comes in.

When you are a MLM distributor, you are a B, stands for Bridge. You are the one who do the bridge or introduce your prospect to your upline. You have your role to play. Each time your upline made a point in his/her speech, you nod a little, to show agreement.

B sets up appointments for the presentation. B also initiate the closing of the presentation / sales by giving a pen and an application form to the C, stands for Customer.

Body Language plays a huge role here. You can view a person reaction from the Appearance / Outer Look / Facial Expression.

A job is a job

Life, People No Comments »

A job is something you do to earn money. You are being paid to do the job.

There is this saying from a movie that I watched recently and I like the meaning of it too, and here it goes:

" So what is it I am typing?

It's not just some crappy memoir or even an attempt at apologizing for everything I've done.

This is a cautionary tale.

I hope that you might learn from my mistakes,

in the end, a job is not just a job.

It's who you are…

and if you want to change who you are,

well… first, you have to change what you do. "

Multi-Level Marketing in Malaysia

Life, MLM Overview, People No Comments »

Today, 31st August 2010, marked our 53rd year of Independence. I like to wish every Malaysian a very Happy Merdeka! as we celebrate and foster our relationship among all races, beliefs and from all unique and diverse cultural background. Unity in Diversity.

Last night, I saw a TV program, called  "I wanna go home" by Wee Meng Chee, better known as Namewee. It is about Namewee's  journey from Taiwan coming back to Malaysia, with a very minimal budget, together with the help from his friends, they struggled to be back to celebrate Merdeka countdown.

In this journey, they met with quite a number of Malaysian who worked in various countries, whom are very proud to be Malaysian and Malaysia has always been their country, their beloved country.

I felt that everyone of us are proud and fortunate to be a Malaysian. I also felt very fortunate too for MLM (Multi-Level Marketing) has been brought down or introduced to Malaysia. I have experienced the works of MLM in myself and also in other people's lives. MLM Industry is beautiful. If it weren't for MLM, I don't know what will I be doing.

Multi-Level Marketing in Malaysia offer one of the greatest business opportunities for all Malaysian. MLM businesses are well accepted here and it is a growing trend.

We have experienced a great deal of both success and failure, the ups and downs of MLM Companies in Malaysia.

Nevertheless, Malaysia is the 2nd most dominate Multi-Level Marketing country in the world. There are newly born MLM companies from overseas, came down to open their market in Malaysia before spreading to the neighbouring countries in Asia.

Malaysia were chosen because of our people are from various races and cultures, and these companies believe, that we can go very far, in term of our languages. Just listen to our people speak, when they buy fish and vegetables in the morning market.

We have Bahasa, English, Mandarin, Cantonese, Hakka, Hokien Dialect, Hindu, Tamil, Sikh, Portuguese and so much more. We have the mix of everything!

Philanthropy

Life, People 1 Comment »

" What is it again? " I asked over the phone. I was in a noisy shop and I couldn't hear properly, I was quite blur but my friend, Adrian still trying to spell the word to me and explain the meaning of it.

This idea was contributed by Adrian.

He spell it to me on the phone " P H Y L A N T … (he stopped for a second)…  O P H E" , He wasn't so sure too. "I am not sure", he said and continue to elaborate, stuff related to Warren Buffett and Bill Gates.

But he know how it sounds like and the meaning of it.

Thanks to him, I learn something today, and it's something important too.

Philanthropy is…

What is Philanthropy?

I opened my dusty Oxford Dictionary on my cupboard this morning and look for the word, and from the internet, now, I got a clear picture.

With reference to video on YouTube, the two billionaires and their intention to gather other billionaires for the philanthropy purpose. They are giving away half of their income for humanitarian causes. It is indeed a noble deed. It's a good reminder for everyone on how best to give back to society.

A person who do this is called Philanthropist.

There is this saying : The more you give, the more you get. There will be more input, when you do lots of output.

I believe that everyone could share their views, knowledge, experience and know-how to others, or to the world on a specific subject matter. I think it is not necessarily to be financially, giving away your income to others, if you couldn't afford.

I think it is quite similar to blogging – visitors may want to share their views for the benefit of other visitors/readers.

To make it easy to understand, Philanthropy is " a desire to help mankind ". Philanthropy is the effort or inclination to increase the well-being of mankind, as by charitable aid or donations.

Do you think more people need to think this way?  Actually, It's easier said than done. But if we put a little effort, it could be done.
