The Importance of Marketing Plan

Marketing Plan, Product No Comments »

In doing mlm , choosing the right plan is very important. Why do I say so?

I am from Malaysia and there is a company named Nature Sunshine Products.

This company has been selling the SAME products but has been changing its MARKETING PLAN , FOUR times.

The plan represents the horse . The product represents the cart.

It is the horse that moves the cart, NOT the the other way round. A company can have MANY products but it can have ONLY ONE plan. One Marketing Plan, some called it Compensation Plan.

Thank you for reading. Before I leave, remember this quotation.

"IT IS THE HORSE THAT MOVES THE CART, NOT THE CART THAT MOVES THE HORSE."

Multi-Level Marketing in Malaysia

Life, MLM Overview, People No Comments »

Today, 31st August 2010, marked our 53rd year of Independence. I like to wish every Malaysian a very Happy Merdeka! as we celebrate and foster our relationship among all races, beliefs and from all unique and diverse cultural background. Unity in Diversity.

Last night, I saw a TV program, called  "I wanna go home" by Wee Meng Chee, better known as Namewee. It is about Namewee's  journey from Taiwan coming back to Malaysia, with a very minimal budget, together with the help from his friends, they struggled to be back to celebrate Merdeka countdown.

In this journey, they met with quite a number of Malaysian who worked in various countries, whom are very proud to be Malaysian and Malaysia has always been their country, their beloved country.

I felt that everyone of us are proud and fortunate to be a Malaysian. I also felt very fortunate too for MLM (Multi-Level Marketing) has been brought down or introduced to Malaysia. I have experienced the works of MLM in myself and also in other people's lives. MLM Industry is beautiful. If it weren't for MLM, I don't know what will I be doing.

Multi-Level Marketing in Malaysia offer one of the greatest business opportunities for all Malaysian. MLM businesses are well accepted here and it is a growing trend.

We have experienced a great deal of both success and failure, the ups and downs of MLM Companies in Malaysia.

Nevertheless, Malaysia is the 2nd most dominate Multi-Level Marketing country in the world. There are newly born MLM companies from overseas, came down to open their market in Malaysia before spreading to the neighbouring countries in Asia.

Malaysia were chosen because of our people are from various races and cultures, and these companies believe, that we can go very far, in term of our languages. Just listen to our people speak, when they buy fish and vegetables in the morning market.

We have Bahasa, English, Mandarin, Cantonese, Hakka, Hokien Dialect, Hindu, Tamil, Sikh, Portuguese and so much more. We have the mix of everything!

Money flow like Water

Money flow like water.

What is it?

Does Money flow in like water? or Money flow out like water? In Malay Language " Duit Macam Air "  maksudnya – "Duit keluar Macam Air?" atau "Duit Masuk Macam Air?"

When I buy something, when I took out my wallet from my back pocket. ( I used to keep my wallet in my front pocket during school days, not sure why I am not used to keep my wallet in my back pocket.) Anyway, whenever I took out my notes from my wallet to pay for something that I want, I counted how much is left in it.

Two days has past, and I am wondering, where does my RM50.00 notes that I folded and placed in the left side of my wallet? now I can only see a green piece of RM5 note, and a few pieces of RM1 note.

Where my money go?

If we look at our bank book, or should I say, our bank saving passbook, I noticed that there are so many times of withdrawals that we made, compared to the number of deposits.

There is only one line of deposit and there are so many lines of withdrawals, for example :

like there is a withdrawal of RM500 on 1st of August for car installment ,

3rd : RM150 for daily expenses,

7th : Auto deduction of RM100 for life insurance premium,

12th : RM100 for fuel and standby expenses,

15th : RM35.90 for magazine and some stuff from the shopping mall,

21st : RM250,

25th : RM150 from the Automated Teller Machine, and etc…

Then, by the end of the month, we are almost dry, and we normally will try to survive, spend as little as possible, looking forward for our paycheck.

The cycle goes again for the month and same goes for the next and the next and the next.

Philanthropy

Life, People 1 Comment »

" What is it again? " I asked over the phone. I was in a noisy shop and I couldn't hear properly, I was quite blur but my friend, Adrian still trying to spell the word to me and explain the meaning of it.

He spell it to me on the phone " P H Y L A N T … (he stopped for a second)…  O P H E" , He wasn't so sure too. "I am not sure", he said and continue to elaborate, stuff related to Warren Buffett and Bill Gates.

But he know how it sounds like and the meaning of it.

Thanks to him, I learn something today, and it's something important too.

Philanthropy is…

What is Philanthropy?

I opened my dusty Oxford Dictionary on my cupboard this morning and look for the word, and from the internet, now, I got a clear picture.

With reference to video on YouTube, the two billionaires and their intention to gather other billionaires for the philanthropy purpose. They are giving away half of their income for humanitarian causes. It is indeed a noble deed. It's a good reminder for everyone on how best to give back to society.

A person who do this is called Philanthropist.

There is this saying : The more you give, the more you get. I believe that everyone could share their views, knowledge, experience and know-how to others, or to the world on a specific subject matter. I think it is not necessarily to be financially, giving away your income to others, if you couldn't afford.

I think it is quite similar to blogging – visitors may want to share their views for the benefit of other visitors/readers.

To make it easy to understand, Philanthropy is " a desire to help mankind ".

Do you think more people need to think this way?  Actually, It's easier said than done. But if we put a little effort, it could be done.

Don’t Be A Sucker

DO NOT invest more than US60 to join any MLM company.

Millions of people around the world has made fortunes with small capital. You don't have to come out BIG capitals to earn BIG money.

Do not BUY UP products.

If you do, you have been TRICKED. Many have bought up products and they are stuck with them. Your upline and especially the company is making the money.

They give you a fantastic recognition, gives you a  TITLE  and gives back YOUR money which YOU gives to them earlier and dump their products in your house.

At last when all the excitement cools off, you realise that you have been a SUCKER.

Organisation and Maintainence

MLM Overview, Marketing Plan 1 Comment »

When people saying they are doing or they are involved in MLM ( Multi-Level Marketing ), they are actually building a business.

They are participating in selling, talking to prospects ( friends, relatives, colleague, neighbours, etc ) about the business.

Yes, selling is part of building your MLM business, but most importantly is to sponsor your prospects into the business, turning them from customers to become members / distributors of the company. In other words, make them your downlines.

What is the difference between servicing customers and servicing downlines?

Customers buy your products, and you earn retail profits whenever they buy from you, but they come and go. They won't last. Selling won't take you far.

Downlines are locked into your organisation. You earn whenever they and their downlines buy each month. They even buy at member's price. Building an organisation will outlast you in this business.

MLM business is about building organisation.

There are MLM companies out there that requires you to maintain sales in order to keep your organisation. ( Note : Not all MLM companies. )

If you forget or never maintain your sales in a single month or, for some, 2 months consecutively,  your whole downlines will be gone. You will have no downlines, zero.

For example : You have built up to 50 members, over a period of time, but you didn't maintain sales for the month of July, you will begin with zero member the next month, in August.

You will have to start sponsoring again. You will begin all over again.

Beware of losing your organisation.

I need to draw a Straight Line

Life No Comments »

Story of yesterday,

Place : Office

What I do : Working

What is the story?  : I need to draw line, straight lines on a book and I want it now! immediately. This is the first thing I need to do before I moved on with the rest.

I have got a red ink pen, but I need a ruler. I shouted to my colleague across the room for a ruler,  " Hey, anyone got a ruler!, I want it now! " sounded rude, but this is the way we treat each other at times when things really get bad, when we want things badly enough, when we want to get things done, fast.

There are so many things to do and we have so little time.

There is this reply from my colleague, "I'm very sad to handover my ruler to you". She said that before she even open her drawer to lend me her ruler.

So, this is what I got :

I look at it, took it from her and said thanks…

Hmmm…  Did I use it? : Yes.

Why I use it? : I wanted to draw a line, a straight line.

Do I have a choice? No, I don't think so, because that's the only ruler I can get at that time and I want it fast!

So, I just use it.

Did I accomplish my mission? Yes.

The bottom line is I managed to draw lines on my record book.

I'm happy that I can do just that. : )
